Condolence & Memory Journal

Dr. Chia was one of my best professors in ECU's Psychology Department; she helped me in graduate school and was always available to listen, provide advice and guidance. She was also a friend.

Rosina:
Was a wonderful woman and role model. She will be missed but more importantly her legacy will live on through the global initiatives that she created.

She was the first Chinese friend I made when I moved into Channing House last year. We shared many things of Taiwan where we came from and I visited ECU last year too. Because of the pandemic, did not see her at the end. Like to know her Chinese name and family if possible.

Rosina had a great impact on my life and I will never forget the trip we took to Vladivostock, Russia to set them up as a partner in the Global Understanding Program. She helped me to grow in ways that I am still realizing. She was one of the most caring people I've ever known. I have and will continue to miss her.

I am so sorry to hear of Rosina's passing. Although she worked in the Department of Psychology and I was in the College of Business at ECU, she would come to our office fairly often. She was always so happy, energetic, and friendly. I loved talking to her. My thoughts will be with her family and I am sure that she will be greatly missed.

Professor Chia ( "Rosina" ) had a great impact on my life. She was brilliant, courageous, caring, and truly gracious. She stood out as a person of the highest integrity. All of us who knew her couldn't help but admire her. We all benefited from her good example. She lives on within all of us who were privileged to know her and work with her. Most sincerely, James H. Dautremont, J.D.
