Willa Ann Spina, 82 of San Mateo California passed away peacefully on February 3, 2020 at home surrounded by her children.

Willa was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on May 17, 1937, daughter of William and Ruth (Stricker) Green. She is survived by her five loving children, son John (Kathy) Spina, son Steve (Linda) Spina, daughter Paula (William) Gilmartin, daughter Laura (Thom) McMahon, and daughter Lisa (Loring) Tocchini. Twelve grandchildren William Gilmartin IV, Christina Stumpf, Nicole Spina, Daniella Matteucci, Matthew Spina, Alexandra Davis, Steve Spina, Gina Tocchini, Gabrielle Tocchini, Remo Tocchini, Taylor McMahon, Tristan McMahon, nine great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Willa grew up in the city of San Francisco with her two sisters Janet and Kathy, and her two half siblings Bonnie and Mike. She attended Washington High School in San Francisco. She married Steve Spina on July 26, 1958 and raised their family in San Bruno. She enjoyed spending many summers boating and waterskiing at her vacation home in Clearlake. She was a very strong, hardworking and loving woman who cared deeply for her family.

Visitation and Rosary services will be held at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1271 Hillside Drive in Burlingame on Tuesday evening February 11 beginning at 6pm.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday February 12th, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, with interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
